"In House" Beginner Lessons New to Mahjong? This welcoming class is the perfect place to learn the basics. Our experienced Mahjong teachers will guide you through tile identification, the flow of the game, basic strategy, and scoring with plenty of hands-on practice and personalized coaching. No experience is necessary—all materials are provided.
Then, if you'd like a little more practice before jumping into regular games, we also offer Beginner II and Beginner III sessions. Each class builds on the last with less instructor guidance and more independent play, helping you gain confidence at your own pace. You can complete all three sessions or, if you're feeling ready, head straight from any lesson into one of our Open Play events.
Open Play for those who already know how to shuffle, build walls, and have a great time but are looking for a "crew" to play with.
Beginner Lessons from the Pro taught by Bonnie Leach, who offers beginner workshops, guided practice sessions, open play events, and private lessons — all designed to meet you where you are and help you fall in love with the game too. (book through Bon Mahj link below)
