About Event
Our open play sessions include a $10 food & beverage credit to be used the day/night of the session (unused portion is not refundable), meaning you'll have $10 to put towards any food, soft drink, cocktail, mimosa, or even mocktail to be enjoyed before, during, or after the session--CHEERS!
What you need to know:
Open play is NOT a teaching session--you do need to already know how to play the game. However, we will have an experienced Mahjong "gametender" on hand to help answer any rules questions, if needed.
We supply the tiles and racks, but you will need to have your own current NMJL card to play--we will have a few on hand that you can "borrow"--but please do not count on us having enough for everybody. (also, ask us--we have some sets of non NMJL, if you want to test those out for fun).
Sometimes, people sign up and do not show. So, if we end up with an odd number of players (not a multiple of 4), we may ask some tables to play as 3 or 2 (Siamese)--we can teach you how we do that.
